Party Hit Two, more dat.

We continue on... with mega party hit.

Sarah looking as happy as a cereal commercial kid, her granddad getting his "hug fix".

Cameron said "screw this" and decided to pull a Jeremiah Johnson and started running towards the mountain. Sold all his toys on ebay and bought a donkey, winter supplies, grew a baby beard. Here Steph talks him out of it at the last minute.

I love big empty spaces. Pristine.

Almost as much as I love air brushed murals of MONSTER TRUCKS BUSTING THROUGH DA WALLLL!!! Gurrrrr!

Mega Brithday Party Hit!

Today was the birthday party for Sarah and Ca, (5 and 3), which actually was a really good time, primarily because we didn't have it at Chucky Cheese, a place the kids LOOOOOOVE and I HAAAAAAATE, it makes me twitchy. this one was at the skating rink, so nostalgia flooded in and the scowl left my head for a few hours. But before I get into that, more navel gazing.

So last night I fell asleep early and had this dream (in claymation) about Mr. Bill (from SNL) and his evil doppelganger. The evil twin was a lot more hairy then nice Mr. Bill, and was some how making his hair grow out and Mr. Bill worked in a panic to rip it out. This all took place in a dark police interrogation room. Also (not drawn), I dreamed of an alternate version of the film Centurion, a Neal Marshal film that came out recently that I wasn't crazy about (to be fair, I don't think i was feeling Ren Fest at the time), so I dreamt the movie I wish I had seen. And it had people being launched from catapults.

Now now Cam, don't cry. Sarah comforts Cameron, holds his hand as Cam wails on the road to the party. Mom ducked into the store, Cam freaked. It's hard out there when you're a little bald midget with no money.

Me and brother Bobby (Robert to the world), I'm pulling some sort of DeNiro face, and Bobby just chillin. He manages a movie theater in Fayetteville, which does me no good being a hour drive. I always tried to get my brothers jobs where they could give me an excellent hook up ie. free movies (I helped him get his first movie theater job in Riverdale), but I've come to realize that "brother John's hook up" isn't their first priority. Jerks.

And this is baby bro Jeff, who I'm worried will soon be working a very awesome job that will prevent him from being available to work slave duty on big brother's films. Fine! JUST GET OUT!

Day After 2, Alien Icicle

So upon closer inspection, I decided that this whole storm was something more revolting.

Along the side of the road, slime trails.

And as the day progressed, the "snow" revealed itself to be actually CRISCO! miles of it, coating everything.

On the horizon I saw giant heat lamps keeping the deep fried humans warm for the alien motorists.

The Day After

So, cleaning the closet was such a gas, I opted to take pics of the outside world. And Happy Birthday Cam "megaman" the cam Cameron. Three years old today and the most consistantly joyous person I have ever met. But enough about important things, here's frivolity to end the day.

So the sun came out today and started melting the snow. Pretty!

Some kindergarden class came and sprinkled perfect little snowflakes all over my window. Punk kids and their punk kid snowflakes.

Shoooot me. Stab me in the face. Please, just cut my head off. Seriously.

But! because of the ice, no one came in to work, so it was just me and my tunes and no one complaining when I get up to do the robot.

A few more pics coming.

Snowed In: The Absolutly Final Chapter. Promise. For Real This TIme.

Done, that's it, took all day, but I cleaned the closet, took some pics, and let you, the BIG NO ONE, in on the secret of rubber maid bins. It's all very secret, so don't tell anyone, no one, alright. Here is the final episode. Ending on a wimper. Which I do... wink wink. Listening to - a metronome click, downloaded from some random website. 90 seconds of click click click.

Here is the poster collection, taken from Riverdale Cinemas. You want "Virtuosity"? Got it. You want "Ghost in the Machine" staring Karen Allen? Got it. You want "The Mangler"? Got it. Never getting rid of it. Mangler rocks all that ever was and if you disagree, Hooper is too busy being a legend to care.

So we are converting the old nursery (bio-mutant experiments) into the lair of frustration aka my office. Would paint it black, but come on, that green is sooo minty!

and outside, cold, and damp, like the grave. It's sad, when a mother must say the words that condemn her own son, but I couldn't let them believe that I would commit murder. They'll put him away now, as i should have, years ago. He was always bad. And in the end, tried to convience them that I killed those girls, and that man, as if I could do anything else but sit and stare. Their probably watching me right now. Let them. Let them see what kind of person I am. Why... you're not even going to swat that fly. I hope they are watching. Then they'll see, then they'll see and they'll know and they'll say, "Why she wouldn't even harm a fly."

Snowed In: 14 .. maybe lost count

Listening to, Head On -Jesus and Mary Chain, because Sophia Coppola and Wes Anderson said that to be a filmmaker, you needed an awesome CD collection.... HERE WE GO!

So Blood Scrub is about this guy, who goes through alot of trouble, and takes some blood, and he takes a rag, and he scrubs it. No hidden meaning there. Title says it, and the movie does it. Blood is scrubbed. Metophor you ask? "What's that?" says I.

And days upon days of Blood Scrub behind the scenes and VHS tapes, and we shot it, got distracted (chicks man), reshot it (lead actor let his hair grow, and wouldn't cut it, and we covered his head in vascilene, and he went to work the next day very greasy... sorry about that). So on day one, I had to shoot an extreme tight shot of his eye, and that was it, his eye, so I gave him 20 minutes of direction of what he was seeing. And in the footage, you can see it (confusion and boredom) in his eye. So thus, lesson learned, the directors best tool is to not show up.

From the comment cards on the Zombeak! premiere. "I want my money back, even though it was free". Well, what do they say, "If they can't take a joke... ... you know."

F#CK 'EM!

And here is my whore flyer, for Sci Fi Summer Con in 06. Exit Through the Gift Shop. We packed the house with 5 people. It's fun to see someone hate your movie and then turn around and glare at you, like you just crapped on their dog. Well, if they can't take a joke...

Hey, I know you stopped reading, but I be a man on a mission. And I am 45 Minutes to Mars and Leto sexy.

Snowed In 13: When did it get Dark Outside?

So, home stretch Faceless Everybody/Nobody! Just a few more, and then, I can stop the rock. But didn't Fatboy Slim teach us that you can't stop the rock. Well, we shall see shalt we!

What where you doing in 1999? on Tuesday? I know. And I also know that Shatter Monkey has been following me arounf alot longer then I suspected.

I know I went to see L"mofo"7 on the 20th. I know I was working at B&N from 8-430. And there was a PROD MEETING. That i will not get into. Lets just say.... prodding.

Did I tell you about the time I tried to light an industrial film with christmas lights? Well... I did. And... Did it work you ask? Well... .... .... no.

Hey, when you suck at making industrial films, what do you do? Make a killer chicken film of coarse! here is the poster we hung at Startime Cinema on 6/6/06, and we had a hearse out front, and I worked my ass off to get a movie that was 45% finished shown to 135 very confused people. "Unmitigated" and "Disaster" were the two words running through my head at the time. I'm able to look back and drink about it now.

Snowed In 12: Direct to Video Laboof

If you were wondering, listening to Elfman Batman soundtrack, eating Italian sausage and doritos, having irish cola, and about to prove to you why I run Bartertown beatches!

What's that look like to you? Embryonic Trash. Looks like nothing. What if I told you that was a cigerette butt. You would say maybe, "yeah so". What if I told you that this cigerette butt was dangling and enjoyed by the cinematic genius of all time. You would say, "no, it can't be". And I would say," I present to you, underling, scum, dog of the sewer, I present to you.... JOHN CARPENTER'S CIGERETTE BUTT!!! NOW BOW AND BEG AND PRAY FOR FORGIVNESS YOU WORM DOG OF FILTH! I COMMAND YOU TO BOW! BOW YOU FILTHY CREATURE OF STINK!!!!!! I had his water glass, that he nervously signed for me at dragon con, and that broke in a move. BUT, I still have the cigerrette butt that he crushed in front of a auditorium of drooling fanboys as simply as he crushed our dreams and ambitions of making movies. John Carpenter looked at us and said, "forget hope, forget your dreams, we all sell out eventually, those who do not are crushed and destroyed". Carpenter put on his sunglasses, looked in the mirror and saw a black and white skull-face. He was honest with us, when everyone else was piping indie movie hype into our heads. And that is why his worst film can beat up your best.

I hate Tolken. He made me hate reading. I love spray adhesive. And plastic bags. And that is the rearview mirror from my first car, an 84 granada, that I spray painted, and had a paper mache' and wire scupture for a hood ornimate, because I drive both 2 FAST and 2 FURIOUS!

In 2001, this ad was pulled from Starbucks because it was too simular to the 9/11 two towers. Nuff said.

SCIENCE! TECHNOLOGY! What is this voodoo that you hold that allows you to speak to faceless souls from the beyond!

Gawd, am I done yet?

Snowed In 11, the reboot

I got food coming, this is going to be quick.

In this box, we have dozens of empty DVD boxes and a Devil Mask sculpted by Chris "Mofo" Misfud, who is the man, for thoses out of the loop. So the DVD boxes where collected by my friend Jayson because he needed a specific "nubbins" on his boxes, and if he bought a DVD, and the nubbin was wrong, he'd replace it with a box with the right "nubbin". and so most of his DVD boxes had to be replaced with proper nubbins, that only one manufacturer made. So I got the old boxes, because in my grand sceme of self distribution, nubbins were the least of my worries. So were lighting, sound, composition, and story.

so here is a journal titled "random stank", a zombeak slate, and the Blood Scrub slate dated 6/10/00, Scene 1-F, take 2.
Scene 1-f, oh yes, the martini shot, i remember it well. Lots of half and half dairy was poured all over the road on that glorious day.

a box of negative thoughts.

And I'm almost done, lets crank this out like Stathum on speed.

Snowed In X: Mega Mega Supah-Cool

Jackpot here boys and girls, this is the muthaload, and by mutha, I mean your mother!

so, just a crate of crap, some camera bags, no big whoop!

Oh but no no no, my little friends from internet land. That is a bonifide 1994 Hitachi Cam-o-corder! That was predigital yo momma! We didn't know digital jack sh#T. We edited vhs deck to vhs deck, and it looked like SH#T! And we liked it that way! And this little bastard cost me 800 dollars I made flipping burgers while Disney's "A Whole New World" piped in throught the speakers, so don't say i haven't suffered for my schlock. I stab you in the neck!

And Pentax made a camera that I bought and took alot of pictures of things that ment alot to me in 1996-2001 (when the advance broke): bricks, telephone lines, mud, concret pillers, more mud, trees, abandoned houses, my own reflection looking deep, traffic, stop lights, and mud.

and under the bags, alot more awesome, mainly the comfort object mainstays: markers and post its,  my wellbeing for 15 years. There was a movie titled "the safety of objects" a few years ago (prob 10 years ago), and that rings very true with me. Thank you Post Its, thank you markers, thank you DIS A LU SION ME-E-ANT!
