Drawing and Caulking

So the war between getting the house refinanced (boring grown up stuff) and drawing this comic (fun kid stuff) rages on. But I have the tub recaulked, so hey feeling the testosterone overdrive. And in other news, I lost my sketchpad and notebook with the script and previous drawings, so either I can start over or just use the low rez photos off the blog and press on. Pressing on is the name of the game. So will get to that today, if I can escape for ten minutes.

Teenage Angst Has Bloomed...

... into Middle Aged Angst! Great.

No drawing today. Refinancing the house took my attention. And I'm on pager this week, so that has been a weird thing. Like holding a timebomb. So now my new rule is if I get a page, the first thing I do is pop out a new drawing/panel. Also, I am a creature of habit. Having more actual hours in the day is really bad for my productivity. I need ten minute bursts of freedom, otherwise I will take a nap so fast your neck will break.

On a plus side, this refinance is almost over, and Zombeak saw a spike in rentals over the Halloween month. The comic is coming along well, and the week is almost over.

Brain hurts.

This morning I got up and decided to do a quick plunge into adult responsibilities and started refinancing the house. This ate up my whole morning.

When I got to work I skipped breaks and scarfed lunch, we had technical stuff I had to deal with.

I'm on pager this week. So I am wearing a furrowed brow till Monday morning at 8 AM. At 8:01 AM I will take it off and put it back in the shoe box.

This has been the most grown up day ever. All that was missing was renewing an insurance policy and discussing traffic patterns. I need a cartoon infusion.

So here is the sketch, the clean up, and the shading for panel one of "Hate Ape". It was going to be the flick right after Zombeak, but it morphed later into Clown Versus Monkey. Anyway, this will be based on the original idea.
